The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr Alie El Din Hilal, has named a temporary committee to run the Football Association, following the resignation of the board on Thursday.Sports journalist, Essam Abdel Moneim, who works for the government daily newspaper Al Ahram, will head the committee.
Abdel Moneim is also a former goalkeeper and played for the Cairo giants Al Ahly.

Two members of the previous board however retained their seats on the new committee, Hany Abu Reda, the former treasurer of the FA who was also recently elected as a Caf executive member and Hicham Azmy, the head Egypt's 2010 World Cup bid.
Former Zamalek player Ayman Youness has also been invited to join the committee.

Surprisingly the committee that has been named includes six members who have links with Zamalek.
The committee is expected to meet with the Minister in the very near future in order to start their its work and plan how they will run the game until the Ministry announces a new date for the elections.
