Morocco
Moroccan side Raja Casablanca
Raja Casablanca picked up points without even playing

Olympique Meknes maintained their two-point advantage at the top of the table when they won 1-0 at third-placed Mouloudia Oudja.

FAR's 4-0 hammering of bottom club Chabab Mohammedia kept them in second place with 13 points.

Meanwhile, Renaissance Settat look likely to forfeit the season after financial woes prevented them from fulfilling Sunday's fixture against Raja Casablanca.

Renaissance officials said the club was heavily in debt and would be unable to continue playing unless a sponsor was found or they received support from the local municipal council.

Raja have already been awarded all three points from the match, which takes them up to sixth place with nine points.

Nigeria

Lobi Stars won the FA Cup courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Sharks of Port Harcourt in Kaduna on Saturday.

Lobi were missing key striker Ismaila Suleiman, who was playing for Nigeria's Olympic team in Egypt, but Olewsi Johnson made sure Suleiman wasn't missed, as he gave them into a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes.

Nkonye Daniel sealed victory in the 88th minute, when hit the target with his left foot, following a swift counter-attack.

Lobi have qualified to play in next year's inaugural Confederation Cup (the amalgamation of the old African Cup Winners' Cup and the Caf Cup).

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars beat Sunshine Stars of Akure 2-1 in the third place play-off game.

South Africa

Kaizer Chiefs retained their unbeaten record and returned to the top of South Africa's Premier Soccer League with a 1-0 win over Jomo Cosmos in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Arthur Zwane scored the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute after finishing off a good move started by Zimbabwe's Tenashe Negomashe.

Ajax Cape Town continued their good start to the season with a 1-0 away win over Supersport United, with DR Congo international Tshinyama Tshilola grabbing the only goal of the game.

The win takes Ajax to joint third place with Wits University, but trail behind Chiefs by two points.

Manning Rangers, who have signed former Orlando Pirates coach Roy Barreto, were held to 1-1 draw by Golden Arrows.

In the remaining weekend fixture, Black Leopards beat newly-promoted Zulu Royals 4-3.

This cost Royals manager Joseph Mukeba his job on Monday, as the former DR Congo coach - who guided Royals to just one win in seven matches - became the eighth coaching casualty this season.

Zambia

Lusaka-based Zanaco beat Prison Leopards 3-0 to move within two points of securing a third successive championship.

The victory ensured that they kept their 11-point lead at the top. A win in their next match will give Zanaco the championship.

Nchanga Rangers, the only club that can snatch the title from Zanaco, beat bottom-placed Roan United 5-1, with Evans Mwaba scoring two goals.

Meanwhile, Power Dynamos and Red Arrows successfully negotiated their respective semi-final ties to reach the final of the Zambian League Cup.

Goalkeeper Fred Mankomba proved the unlikely hero as he converted the decisive spot kick for Dynamos as they beat Kitwe United 10-9 on penalties, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Red Arrows had a more straightforward 2-0 victory over Nkana Red Devils.

Zimbabwe

A 3-0 win for defending champions Highlanders, over relegated Blue Swallows, has set up a potential championship decider with Bulawayo neighbours AmaZulu on 2 November.

Highlanders are two points clear but have only four games left

Highlanders, who enjoy a two-point lead at the top of the table, have four games left while AmaZulu, who are on 43 points, have six games to go.

Dynamos are also still in the race, as they lie in third place with 42 points. But the Harare club missed a good opportunity to keep up with the leaders, as they drew 2-2 with Wankie.

Benin

Mogas 90 beat surprise package Soleil 2-1 to join them at the top of Pool A.

Both teams are level on 32 points, while reigning champions Dragons Oueme lie one point behind. Their 3-0 victory over Asaco keeps them in third place.

Togo

Leaders Dyto beat Gomido 1-0 to stay on top of the table - but only on goal difference.

Port ensured their joint leadership position with a 2-1 victory against struggling Abou Osse.

Seychelles

Saint Michel triumphed 3-0 over Plaisance to win the league.

Second-placed Anse Reunion, who drew 1-1 with Northern Dynamo, can no longer catch the Saints - thus giving the champions a hat-trick of league titles.

Algeria

JS Kabylie missed the chance to take over at the top of the first division after losing 2-0 at RC Kouba on Monday.

JS Kabylie trail the joint league leaders by just one point

Nabil Hamouda and Mohamed Boussoufiane scored the goals in a bruising match which saw 11 players being cautioned.

JS Kabylie, with 18 points, trail joint leaders Mouloudia Algeir and Widad Tlemcen by just one point.

Cameroon

Cotonsport's 1-0 home win over Bamboutos keep them at the top of the division.

The Caf Cup finalists now have 53 points, three more than defending champions Canon Yaounde, with just three rounds of the championship left.

Canon surprisingly lost 1-0 to Cintra Yaounde on Thursday.

Bambotous and PWD Bamenda still have a mathematical chance of taking the title but are seven points behind the leaders.
