Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast
Asec are still in the hunt for the Ivorian title

With just three games remaining, Africa Sports maintain a slender lead over arch-rivals Asec Mimosas.

Africa drew 1-1 with Stade d'Abidjan, while Asec missed the chance to go to the top of the table by drawing 2-2 with Sabe Bouna.

Africa Sports took the lead in their game when Amon Douglas scored in the 31st minute.

But Bernard Kouakou Nountouan, the top scorer of the league's six-team stage with five goals, equalised for Stade seven minutes into the second half.

Asec had a more difficult game, as they came close to defeat until Moussa Doumbia grabbed a controversial 90th minute equaliser. Their opponents claimed that the goal was scored from an offiside position.

The only side to win was Stella, who beat Satellite 3-1.

Algeria

The Algerian Football Federation has fined Mouloudia Oran after sending out two different teams to play against NA Hussein-Dey last Friday.

Mouloudia are currently dogged by an internal dispute which came to head when the club's former president and his successor sent rival teams to start the match.

The game was abandoned and the federation fined Mouloudia $800 and awarded the three points to their opponents.

Togo

Maranatha and Dyto Lome are now joint league leaders on 13 points after both sides recorded 2-1 wins.

Maranatha's win came at the expense of Kakadl while Dyto defeated Togo Telecom.

Joint third-placed AS Douanes registered a 2-1 win over AC Merlan, to stay one point behind the joint leaders.

Etoile Filante and ASKO Kara, the other sides in third place, are with 10 points.

Etoile were held 0-0 by AS Togo Port, while ASKO grabbed a 1-0 win at Gomido Kpalime.

FAR are tied on points with Mouloudia d'Oujda and KAC Kenitra.

Defending champions Hassania Agadir only managed a 0-0 draw with Ittihad Tanger.

Olympic Khourigba and Raja Casablanca, each with a game in hand, go head to head in their next match and the victor could emerge as new leaders.

Meanwhile, Wydad Casablanca have reached the final of the Moroccan equivalent of the FA Cup - Coupe de Trone - after beating their arch-rivals Raja 12-11 on penalties.

The match had finished 1-1, with both teams having a player sent-off.

Namibia

African Stars and Blue Waters are the early leaders, with just two games played in the new season.

Stars have won both games, with a 3-1 victory over Golden Bees and another 3-1 win against Chief Santos.

Blue Waters beat Benfica 3-0 and followed that up by edging out Oshakati City 2-1.

The Friends club have yet to play a match this season after being involved in a motor accident. Games against Liverpool and Tigers have been postponed as a result of their recent misfortune.
