Sianga'a will be happy with his side Simba's victory |
Simba SC 2-1 Enyimba Nigerian side Enyimba have failed to secure the point they needed to advance to the Champions League semi-finals losing 2-1 away to Simba SC of Tanzania.
The Nigerians now need a point at home to Egyptians Ismailia to move into the last four and keep alive their hopes of becoming the first Nigerian team to win Africa's most prestigious club trophy.
Even if Simba win their last match away to the Ivory Coast's Asec Mimosa and Enyimba manage a draw the Nigerian advance thanks to the superior head to head record.
Simba, the surprise team of the tournament, opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal from Emmanuel Gabriel.
David Tyakase equalised for Enyimba 9 minutes before the half time whistle but the match was won twenty minutes in the second half by Boniface Pawasa.
Simba coach James Siang'a warned Enyimba before the game not to take his side lightly.
"The players are aware of the task ahead and are prepared to face the challenge," he told the BBC Sport website.
"Enyimba is a good team but we are determined to stay alive therefore we will go for nothing but a win."
