Ismailia seek top spot
Ismailia v Simba, Alexandria, KO 1730 GMT

Isamilia celebrate
Ismailia have been in great form at home

Ismailia could go top of Group A on Friday, as they take on Simba of Tanzania in the latest round of Champions League matches.

The Alexandria-based side trail the Nigerian champions Enyimba, who face Asec Mimosas in Abidjan on Sunday.

The Egyptian representatives will be hoping to improve on the goalless draw they had two weeks ago, when they met Simba on their home ground in Dar-es-Salaam.

Ismailia's cautious away form contrasts sharply with the ferocious attacking style they display at their home ground.

After their 6-1 rout of Enyimba in August, striker Dramane Traore is the competition's joint top marksman with six goals.

German coach Theo Bucker is expected to name an unchanged line-up from the earlier tie against Simba, who are hoping to claim another Egyptian scalp in the competition.

The Tanzanian champions stopped last year's champions Zamalek from qualifying for the group phase.

Clement Kahabuka is due to return for Simba after recovering from an injury, while Emmanuel Gabriel is expected to keeps his place in the attack despite coach James Sianga'a's fierce criticism of the team's workrate.
