Sianga'a has been out of contract since March |
The position of James Sianga'a, manager of Tanzanian champions Simba SC, has been put in further doubt with the appointment of a new coach.
Simba, currently in the group stage of the Champions League, signed Twalib Hilal on a four-month contract.
"We need a good coach and we think that Twalib is the right man for the job," said Simba secretary Kassim Dewji.
However, Dewji refused to confirm if Hilal would be replacing Sianga'a, who has been out of contract since March.
Sianga'a, who has been credited with the club's rising profile in the continent, had threatened to quit his post if Simba did not give him a new deal.
But Sianga'a told BBC Sport website that he decided to remain with the club after Simba's financier, Mohammed Dewji, promised to resolve the matter in his favour.
"I haven't signed the contract yet but the process is still on," he told BBC Sport website on Tuesday.
"We are in preparations for our match against Ismailia and it is better that we don't talk about this issue now," Sianga'a added.
Sianga'a, a former Kenyan international, is popular with Simba fans, who want him to remain in charge.
