Coach and player have had their fair share of problems |
Ajax Amsterdam coach Ronald Koeman has included top scorer Mido in his squad for Wednesday's Champions League match against Arsenal. The Egyptian international had been demoted to the youth team for poor discipline.
But Koeman said the player had apologised to him and the rest of the squad for his bad attitude.
"The squad came to me to talk about the whole situation. Mido apologized to the group and to me," Koeman said.

"For me there was no longer any reason to ban him. I took this decision because it is the best for the club. "We probably will need Mido and that also had some influence on the decision. But for sure this will be his last chance."
Mido has scored 18 goals in 36 matches for Ajax this season, but missed last Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Highbury because of his club suspension.
However, Ajax are suffering from illness and injury, and desperately need their top striker.
Mido was banished from the Ajax first team after a series of incidents which infuriated Koeman.
His patience finally snapped when the striker failed to turn up to meet sponsors after the team's 2-1 win over Groningen in the Dutch first division last weekend. Koeman also accused Mido of not giving 100 percent in training sessions.
Ajax, Arsenal and Valencia all have five points from three matches in Champions League Group B.
