Mido makes his peace

Mido
Mido was upset at being left out of the side
Egypt striker Mido has said that his arguments with Ajax coach Ronald Koeman are nothing more than "differences of opinion."

Mido has a famously tense relationship with Koeman, which earlier this season led to him demanding a move when the transfer window opened at the beginning of January.

But he later apologised for those comments, and has now added that he is philosophical about his disagreements with the Dutch legend.

"It is normal to have problems when you move to a new place," Mido told BBC Sport Online during Ajax's visit to Egypt.

"I don't think our disputes signify anything other than a simple difference in opinions."

And he added that he was no longer interested in a move now the window was open.

"I have a contract with Ajax until 2006 and I am committed to this contract," he stated.

Koeman likewise said he was not overly concerned with Mido's attitude.

"Problems are everywhere!," he said.

"I have problems with my wife, but that doesn't really mean anything.

"Hossam is a very, young talented and passionate player and he loves to play every game, so it is expected that he gets a little angry when he doesn't participate in some matches."
