Ijeh set for Nigeria role
Nigeria's supporters are optimistic of performing in front of their home fans
Nigeria supporters are hoping for a win over Jamaica
Peter Ijeh is expected to make his international debut for Nigeria in their friendly against Jamaica in Lagos on Wednesday.

Ijeh has been in great form for his Swedish club Malmo FF, for whom he scored 24 league goals last season.

And he is looking forward to playing against the Reggae Boyz.

"I believe that my time has come," said Ijeh.

"I'm happy to be given the call-up and would have the chance to play in front of fans at home."

Nigeria prepared for the match with a 5-0 defeat of club side St Charles over the weekend.

And coach Christian Chukwu is expected to deploy an attacking formation against Jamaica.

But the squad that Chukwu selected for the match against Jamaica is extremely inexperienced, with most of the country's top stars not included.

The Jamaican side is likely to include several players from England.

Striker Trevor Benjamin, who plays with Division One club Leicester City, is included in the squad for the first time.

While QPR midfielder Richard Langley is also in the squad and Bolton's Ricardo Gardener has been recalled for the first time in over a year.
