Truro College's dream of national success ended as they lost 2-1 in the British Colleges League final to Huntingdon College on Tuesday.

After a scrappy first half which saw Truro hit the post, Huntingdon took the lead through Jordan Gent on 65 minutes.

A Ryan Lomas goal put Huntingdon 2-0 up three minutes later, before Mo Sabo pulled a goal back for Truro.

The Cornish side pushed desperately for an equaliser, but Huntingdon held out to claim the trophy.

Despite the loss, Sabo was named man of the match at the final, which was held at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.
