Mal Roberts was Launceston's captain last season |
Launceston have named Mal Roberts and Tony Roques as the club's new joint head coaches. The duo succeed Jon Hill, who stepped down from the role at the end of last season after six years in charge. Roberts, 32, was first-team captain at Polson Bridge last term, while Roques, 31, worked alongside Hill as Launceston's defence coach. Simon Owens has been handed the role of director of rugby, looking after player contracts and sponsorship. Launceston finished the 2009-10 season third in National One, having won 21 games.
