Manchester United's Corry Evans gets his chance in the senior squad
Many of Northern Ireland's top players have opted out of this month's friendlies against Turkey and Chile.
Fulham pair Aaron Hughes and Chris Baird, who are preparing for the Europa League final on Wednesday, are among those missing from the 18-man panel.
The new faces include Ross County keeper Michael McGovern, Rochdale's Rory McArdle, Watford's Michael Bryan and John Gorman of Wolves.
Linfield's Jamie Mulgrew is among five Irish League players selected.
Kevin Braniff, Robert Garrett, Rory Patterson and Colin Coates complete the local contingent.
Former Linfield goalkeeper Alan Mannus, now with League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers, makes the panel.
A youthful squad also includes Cardiff City striker Josh Magennis, Port Vale forward James Lawrie and Manchester United midfielder Corry Evans, brother of Jonny Evans, who is on the list of absentees.
The senior players making the trip include Gareth McAuley, Warren Feeney, Ryan McGivern, Stephen Craigan and Andrew Little.
Nigel Worthington's team take on Turkey in Connecticut on May 26 before facing Chile in Chillan four days later.
The two games will be followed by a friendly away to Montenegro on 11 August as Northern Ireland complete their preparations for the 2012 European qualifiers.
