Muratti Vase final date rearranged to avoid Cup clash
Jersey won the 2009 Muratti Vase Final 1-0 against Guernsey
A new date for the Muratti Vase final has been set after Guernsey's Senior County Division side progressed to the National League System Cup semi-finals.
The annual inter-insular game will now to be played at Springfield Stadium in Jersey on Saturday, 8 May.
The match had originally been scheduled for Monday, 3 May, which clashed with the scheduled Cup final.
Guernsey will face Dorset Premier League in their fifth home draw of the Cup competition.
The semi-final match has provisionally been scheduled for Saturday, 3 April with the venue yet to be confirmed.
Mark Le Tissier, chairman of the Guernsey Football Association said: "Because of the amount of arrangements that go into this game we decided that if either of us [Guernsey or Jersey] got to the semi-final we would make that change.
"Common sense prevailed and Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney all agreed," he added.
In the other semi final, Yorkshire Old Boys are away to either the Liverpool County Premier League or the Cambridgeshire County League.
