The Jersey Football Association has said they should break even in the next financial year.

Association President Ricky Weir told BBC Jersey that since inheriting a big deficit in 2006 he has been working to bring it back under control.

Even with the cost of an Island Games year the JFA should be in the black.

Weir said: "We are very hopeful and close to returning a break even situation and that is very important to give us that sound financial base."
