Peel defeated title rivals St Mary's 1-0 at the Bowl on Saturday to move three points clear at the top of the Isle of Man Premier League.
The two sides were only separated by goal difference at kick-off but a 41st minute Kerron Christian strike handed Peel the three points.
Meanwhile, Rushen thrashed Union Mills 5-1 to maintain their title push.
Josh Kelly (2), Aaron Hawley, Ted Pepper and an own goal leave the southerners three points behind Peel.
Rushen also have a game in hand on the leaders.
Castletown provided the shock of the day with a 2-1 home win against St George's, while Michael Fernandez hit four as Laxey thrashed Michael 8-1 at Glen Road.
Elsewhere, substitute Richard Mulhearn scored the only goal of the game as Corinthians beat Gymns 1-0 at Nobles Park and Old Boys defeated St John's 2-1 at Blackberry Lane.
