Former Jersey manager David Kennedy has backed his old side to win the gold medal at the Island Games.
Jersey face Saaremaa, the Isle of Wight and Rhodes in Group C.
Kennedy said: "I think we'll win it. I've seen a lot of the preparation, they're looking extremely fit, and the quality of football is excellent.
"The core of the squad is made up from the core we had in Rhodes two years ago. I've got a funny feeling they'll be coming back with a gold medal."
In the previous Games, Jersey were unbeaten in the group stages but were still knocked out.
In the women's event, Jersey's first match is against Gotland. This year's hosts Aland won the women's gold in Rhodes.
