Herbert has played for England 47 times

Jersey's Beckie Herbert has been picked in the England hockey squad for the Champions Trophy in Australia, starting on 11 July.

The 22-year-old has won 47 caps for England, the tournament could see her pass the 50 mark.

The English squad of 18 players will face some of the best sides in the world at the event.

Reigning Olympic Champions the Netherlands and European Champions Germany are both taking part.

Olympic silver medallists China, Olympic bronze medallists Argentina and the hosts Australia are the other teams participating in the nine-day competition.
