St Georges remain in title race

Football
Two wins will give St. Georges the title by a solitary point from Peel

St Georges are still in contention for the Sure Mobile Premier League after they beat Michael United 6-1 at Balleira Road on Wednesday.

Geordies must now win both their remaining fixtures to snatch the title from Peel who completed their campaign with a 2-1 victory against St Mary's.

If St Georges can win away at Gymnasium and then beat Old Boys at home the title will be theirs.

Meanwhile, Colby were relegated after losing 4-2 to already down Ayre.

Elsewhere, Marown provided a cup shock, knocking out form side St Johns to reach the final of the Paul Henry Gold Cup.

Castletown will be their opponents after they knocked-out Pulrose 3-1.
