The Sure Mobile Premier League title race took another twist on Wednesday night as leaders Peel could only manage a solitary point at home to Gymnasium. Peel, who were beaten by Rushen last week, were held to a 1-1 draw at Douglas Road whilst Old Boys, Rushen and St Georges all recorded victories. The westerners are now just one point ahead of Old Boys with Rushen four points off the pace in third. St Georges are five points behind Peel but have two games in hand. Meanwhile at the bottom, Colby picked up a point against Laxey and Corinthians earned a point in a 2-2 draw with Michael to leave Ayre six points adrift with two games to play. Elsewhere in CFS Division Two, Castletown beat St Johns 2-1 at the Stadium to regain the top spot on goal difference.
