Ivybridge Town go second in SWPL

Ivybridge Town have gone second in the South West Peninsula League after beating Liskeard Athletic 5-1 at Erme Valley on Saturday.

Ryan Fice got four of the Bridgers goals as they went a point clear of third-placed Plymouth Parkway.

Parkway are third after beating Holsworthy 4-1 and seeing Dartmouth slip up at Falmouth Town.

It was the Cornish side's fourth successive win and sees them move from bottom to 12th in the space of a month.

Robbie Bowker gave Dartmouth the lead early on before Dave Rawlings equalised just before half time.

Glen Squires made it 2-1 before Bowker doubled Town's lead.

Launceston are now level with Dartmouth in sixth place after a 3-0 win at Newton Abbot Spurs.

Andrew Sargent continued his fine run of form in front of goal. The SWPL's top scorer got two to take his season's tally to 24.

Saltash are three points behind Launceston in seventh place after a 2-0 win at Witheridge, Jamie Frickleton and Glen Palmer getting the goals.

The Ashes moved up a place after Tavistock dropped to eighth following a 1-1 draw Wadebridge.
