All Guernsey football matches will hold a minute's silence for Jason Piriou.
The 37-year-old, who was coach of Sylvan's under 14's team died suddenly while out fishing on Saturday.
Mr Piriou was widely known as president of Guernsey's Milk Retailers' Association, but was a valued coach of the St Peter's club's youngsters.
"He was a fantastic lad, his enthusiasm for the youngsters was superb, and he will be sorely missed," Sylvans manager Clive Bateman told BBC Guernsey.
"Jason's been helping out with the same team since they were basically five-years-old when his son first started to come up.
"Last year they reached the final of the Corbet Cup where they lost to North and his expectations for this year were quite high.
"It's a sad time at the club and people still can't believe what has happened," he added.
The weekend's under 14's match between Sylvans and Belgrave Wanderers has been postponed.
