AFC Telford United's Steve Jagielka came back into the side to score the winner in Tuesday's 2-1 extra-time Setanta Shield victory over Solihull.
Jagielka's 95th minute goal booked the Bucks a place in round three after Martyn Naylor's penalty opener.
Coach Steve Wynn told BBC Radio Shropshire: "Steve always gives everything he's got and you can play him anywhere.
"It was fitting on his return to score the winning goal."
Telford are next in action on Saturday away to Hendon in the FA Cup third qualifying round.
