The Guernsey Football Association has confirmed Martyn de Garis will take charge of the island's under-21 side for their next two matches.

De Garis will be at the helm for the Malaya Cup match with the Royal Naval Air Command on Saturday and the Muratti with Jersey on 22 November.

He will be assisted by under-18s manager Paul Ockleford.

The appointment comes after Steve Ogier resigned from his GFA role to take charge at Guernsey Utd.

De Garis told the Guernsey FA's website: "I am excited about this opportunity, I've worked with most of the players before and I know what they can do.

"I am grateful to Martyn for taking up this role at such short notice and to Rangers for allowing Paul to assist with the under-21s," added GFA chairman Mark Le Tissier.

De Garis has picked five players from North in his 18-man squad for Saturday's game at Footes Lane.
