Needham miss out on Wembley trip

Needham Market
Needham Market failed to make home advantage count

Needham Market missed out on the chance of a trip to Wembley after a 1-0 FA Vase semi-final second leg defeat at home to Kirkham & Wesham.

The Suffolk side already trailed 3-2 from last week's first leg in Lancashire.

But they were finally sunk at Bloomfields by a 89th minute Matt Walwyn goal which sent Kirkham through 4-2 on aggregate.

Kirkham now meet Lowestoft Town in the Wembley final on Sunday 11 May.

Needham manager Danny Laws said: "We've now got to bounce back and win the league. It's as simple as that."
