Needham Market and Lowestoft Town will be flying the flag for Suffolk on Saturday in the last four of the FA Vase.

The two-legged semi-finals start with Needham's trip to Kirkham & Wesham in Lancashire, while Lowestoft are at home to tournament favourites Whitley Bay.

Whitley are the only team left with any previous form, having lifted the trophy in 2002.

The semi-final winners meet at Wembley on Sunday 11 May.

We've got this far and we're not ready to throw the towel in quite yet

Lowestoft's Ady Gallagher

Lowestoft Town's relatively poor season in the league has coincided with their best ever run in the Vase.

Joint manager Ady Gallagher said: "Clearly Whitley Bay are huge favourites for this game, there's no doubt about that, but we've played against some decent sides in previous rounds."

"All we can do is concentrate on ourselves - we've got this far and we're not ready to throw the towel in quite yet."

Needham Market are still in the hunt for promotion from the Ridgeons League Premier Division, although they have failed to win any of their last three matches.

Manager Danny Laws has questioned his team's desire to win the league having lost one of their games in hand over leaders Soham Town Rangers on Tuesday and he is expecting a reaction in the Vase tie.
