Former England and Middlesex spinner John Emburey has spoken of his disappointment at England's performance in the one-day series with Australia.
England face a whitewash, having lost the first four internationals.
Emburey, watching the Village Cup Final at Lord's, told BBC Sussex: "The ODIs have been hugely disappointing,
"I watched two of the games at Lord's and we haven't played well. The players don't seem to have got the confidence to get after the Australians."
Emburey added: "It looks as though one or two players may be fearful of their place in the side and are letting that affect their performance as well.
"I think one or two players are under pressure but the only way you get out of that is to have a lot of belief in your ability and go out there and play and be confident.
"Everybody has the ability to be a match-winner and that's what you've got to do when you play, believe you're going to be the match-winner for that game."
Emburey is hosting Sussex side Glynde & Bellingham CC at the Village Cup final at Lord's.
