Wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Brown has signed a two-year contract with Sussex.

The 21-year-old played nine matches for the side which won the Second Division of the 2010 County Championship, averaging 42.91 runs.

He said: "I'm delighted to have been offered a new deal and to sign the contract, as I'm really looking to press on in the first team next season.

"There's obviously no guaranteed selections but I'm looking forward to hopefully playing in Division One."

He added: "I'll be staying here to work hard in the gym over the winter and maybe I'll be able to get some cricket abroad after Christmas to really prepare for the new season."
