Ben Brown has represented England at under-19 level

Sussex have handed new two-year contracts to wicketkeeper Ben Brown, 19, and all-rounder Tom Smith, 21.

The pair both made their first class debuts in 2007 in the tour match with Sri Lanka.

Sussex cricket manager Mark Robinson said: "I am delighted to have such highly promising youngsters on board in Ben and Tom.

"Both players have received a lot of interest from other counties, which isn't surprising to me."
