Luton Town 1-2 Crawley Town

Craig McAllister's injury-time goal secured a late victory for Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Crawley at Luton.

Luton took the lead midway through the second half through Andy Drury's penalty after Zdenek Kroca was brought down in the area by Kyle McFadzean.

Reds striker Richard Brodie levelled the score with 10 minutes to go, firing home from six yards.

McAllister completed the turnaround in added time, slotting the ball past Mark Tyler from inside the penalty area.

The result means Luton are now eight points behind Crawley but at one stage in the game they were just two off the league leaders.

The hosts started the first half brightly but Claude Gnakpa could only put Drury's cross over the crossbar.

Crawley then soon took control with Scott Neilson hitting the woodwork before Brodie's shot was parried away by Tyler.

The Hatters keeper also denied Sergio Torres, who hit a powerful drive at goal from just inside the area.

Tyler then pulled off a superb save to prevent Brodie heading home from close range before Luton punished their opponents as Drury smashed his spot-kick past Michel Kuipers.

But the Reds keeper kept his side in the game, first thwarting Matthew Barnes-Homer before fumbling Drury's long-range volley.

Brodie restored parity after latching onto McAllister's cushioned header before lashing the ball into the back of the net.

And McAllister ensured Crawley remained above AFC Wimbledon, who beat fellow promotion hopefuls Mansfield 5-2, as deep into injury time he put Dannie Bulman's pass beyond the Hatters keeper.
