Nottinghamshire will have four players who appeared in the ICC World Twenty20 final in their squad for this season's domestic campaign.
Stuart Broad and Ryan Sidebottom won the trophy with England in March, while David Hussey and Dirk Nannes were part of the losing Australian team.
Broad told BBC Radio Nottingham: "There is absolutely no reason we can't go on and win this tournament.
"The confidence is high from other formats of the game."
Notts are currently top of the County Championship, but have generally struggled in the shortest form of the game - only once reaching finals day.
Broad added: "We've got to make sure we get our plans right for every opposition."
Nottinghamshire will have a change in captain for this year's FP t20 campaign, with Australian David Hussey in charge instead of regular skipper Chris Read.
"I think we're going to go a long way. If you look at the players we have - Sidebottom, Broad, Nannes, Read, Alex Hales at the top (of the order), Ali Brown, Samit Patel - the line-up is chocked full of talent," Hussey said.
"We need to bring our 'A' game and I think you'll see a team desperate to do well," added the 32-year-old.
Broad is available for the home matches against Worcestershire and Lancashire: "I'm excited about getting going really. I've had a couple of weeks off, training at Loughborough and getting some strength into me.
It's three hours, packed full of entertainment and generally in front of a big crowd. What's not to like?!
David Hussey
"I hope we can build some momentum and confidence in what's an exciting tournament for us."
Hussey has temporarily captained Victoria in the Twenty20 competition in Australia, and enjoyed 100% success in the three games he was in charge of.
"When I first started playing here at Notts, I probably didn't understand the game," added Hussey.
"But as you get older and wiser, you get used to playing the game and get a few plans worked out. And then I began to really enjoy the game.
"It's three hours, packed full of entertainment and generally in front of a big crowd. What's not to like?!"
Nottinghamshire begin their Twenty20 campaign on Thursday 10 June at Worcestershire, with home matches against Derbyshire on Friday 11 June and Worcestershire on Sunday 13 June.
BBC Radio Nottingham will have commentary on Nottinghamshire's Twenty20 campaign on 103.8 FM, 95.5 FM and Digital Radio, as well as online at bbc.co.uk/nottingham
