Makhaya Ntini to lead by example to help Kent's bowlers
Ntini took five wickets against Lancashire on his Kent debut.
Kent's new signing, South African international Makhaya Ntini, says he wants to help the development of the county's younger bowlers.
Ntini told BBC Radio Kent:"I see myself as a leader. Kent have a number of youngsters who need to be taught to enjoy the game, but also get stronger.
"You need a strong mind in the county game too, I'll bring my happiness and enthusiasm to the team."
The 32 year-old made his debut for Kent in the four-day game with Lancashire.
Rain stopped play on the final day, the match finishing as a draw.
Ntini said he knew what to expect from the weather in Manchester:"I expected it all, even going from 40-degree heat at the IPL to minus five at Old Trafford."
"But I fall into the category of people who love what they do and want to win every game. I'm coming to Kent bringing my love of the game, and I'll make sure that none of the players are asleep when I'm around."
The fast bowler has signed a five-week contract with Kent. Sri Lankan spinner Malinga Bandara will take over as overseas international at Canterbury in late May.
