Kent must get stronger - Fulton

David Fulton
Fulton retired from first class cricket after 15 years at Kent

Former captain David Fulton says Kent must improve their bowling attack if they are to compete in the top tier of the county championship next season.

The Spitfires were promoted back to Division One with two games to spare.

But Fulton, 37, told BBC Radio Kent: "Azar Mahmood is not getting any younger, neither is Simon Cook.

"It's not doom and gloom because you're hopefully going to have Robbie Joseph coming back next year, fit and strong, and with a bit to prove."

"It'll be like having a new bowler," Fulton said.

He added: "Probably one or two changes are needed in the bowling department but the batting unit looks very strong."

Fulton retired from first class cricket three years ago, having scored 12,000 runs in 15 years with the club.
