Gloucestershire director of cricket John Bracewell has blamed his batsmen for the county's poor Twenty20 form.
The six-wicket defeat to Warwickshire was their fifth loss from six games in the Twenty20 Cup and the knockout phase is now a distant dream for the county.
"We were very short in the batting and we just did not make enough runs during this part of the tournament," Bracewell told BBC Radio Bristol.
Bracewell singled out bowler Steve Kirby as his player of the first stage.
"He has set the standard throughout the tournament with his attacking bowling and that has allowed our spinners to operate through the middle," added the New Zealander.
"That can't happen if you're not knocking over some at the top. Our bowlers have been extremely competitive throughout the competition and kept us in games."
Having picked up just one win, Gloucestershire are locked at the foot of the Mid/West/Wales Division with Glamorgan.
Their campaign resumes on Monday, 22 July when they are at home to the Bears.
