Carl Rogers has decided to quit as captain of Minor Counties side Norfolk after two years in the role. The batsman, who turns 40 in October, will continue to play for his home county in the 2011 season. He left the job in style scoring 49 and 42 against Staffordshire to help record Norfolk's first win of the campaign in the the final match of the season. Rogers made his debut for the club 20 years ago and has since hit 17 centuries and 58 half-centuries. Norfolk's 142-run victory over Staffordshire at Stone means they finished seventh in the Eastern Division, with Lincolnshire taking top spot.
