Jake Knight will become the second teenager in a week to ride for King's Lynn Stars in the Premier League.

The 17-year-old has recently been promoted from the side's youth team, the Young Stars.

He will ride against Somerset Rebels on Wednesday, hot on the heels of 16-year-old Lasse Bjerre's debut in Tuesday's win over Redcar Bears.

Boss Rob Lyon told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We have nothing to lose but everything to gain by giving Jake an opportunity."

He added: "We got a real buzz from last week's match and part of that came from watching someone as young as Lasse go out and mix it with the more experienced riders."

Fellow youngster, Cal McDade, 23, scored four points in the victory over Redcar which was followed by a 49-43 defeat at Stoke.

That left them exactly mid-table with just five weeks of the season remaining.
