Middlesex suffered a nine-wicket defeat by Gloucestershire with more than a day to spare in their County Championship Division Two clash at Bristol. The visitors were restricted to 233 in their second innings, with Jon Lewis (3-54) and Steve Kirby (3-30) inflicting most of the damage. Middlesex had started the third day on 129-5, but they left the home side needing just 45 runs. Hamish Marshall's 28 not out helped the home side secure their win.
