Jon Lewis took the crucial scalp of England Test captain Andrew Strauss

Gloucestershire continued to dominate Middlesex at Bristol, despite a five-wicket haul from young David Burton.

The former Gloucester paceman took 5-68 but the home side still powered to 342, James Franklin top scoring with 67.

Chasing a deficit of 189, Middlesex got off to a terrible start as England captain Andrew Strauss was bowled by Jon Lewis for a third ball duck.

Despite Owais Shah's 57, Middlesex closed on 129-5 needing another 60 to avoid an innings defeat.
