Martin Van Jaarsveld struck 19 fours and one six in his unbeaten 174

Hundreds from Martin van Jaarsveld and Geraint Jones have set up an intriguing fourth and final day between Kent and Glamorgan at Canterbury.

Van Jaarsveld (174 no) and Jones (133) came together when openers Rob Key and Sam Northeast were dismissed shortly after a rain-delayed start.

They shared 309 for the third wicket, just 15 runs off a county record, Jones notching his career best.

The hosts reached the close on 361-3 to begin the final day with a lead of 336.
