Dalrymple is in his first season as Glamorgan captain

Glamorgan skipper Jamie Dalrymple maintained his fine individual start to the season as he once again led from the front against Kent at Canterbury.

The in-form Dalrymple top scored with 79, one of three half centurions in Glamorgan's 307, along with Mike Powell (65) and Michael O'Shea (50).

He has now hit 321 runs in four Championship innings this season.

Dalrymple's effort, in reply to Kent's 282, earned a slight lead, wiped out by the close with the home side on 30-0.
