Yorkshire won a Lord's final for the first time since 1987 after Australian Matthew Elliott hit an excellent unbeaten century. After early setbacks, Elliott rebuilt the Yorkshire innings in majestic fashion with the help of Michael Vaughan and Anthony McGrath.
Latest action (all times BST): 16.15 Elliott gets the winning runs with a four to deep square leg off the last ball of the 48th over. 16.12 A lofted flick down to the vacant fine leg brings Elliott another classy boundary and he follows up with two more successive fours. Two runs needed off three overs. 16.08 Jones comes back on needing to work miracles but has no joy, and the equation is reduced to 17 needed off four overs. 17.58 Yorkshire continue to accelerate as McGrath pulls Johnson over Cox's fingers for four through mid-wicket. Johnson strays onto leg stump and Elliott puts it away in superb style - 24 needed off five overs. 17.54 Elliott clips Dutch away for two to reach his hundred off 110 balls. McGrath turns the screw by hammering Dutch over cover for four - 35 needed from six overs. 17.49 Johnson is brought back by Cox but Elliott drills his second ball over long-on for four. McGrath misses an attempted pull later in the over but the ball just misses off stump. 17.43 McGrath brings up 200 for Yorkshire by flicking Caddick away to leg for a boundary - 51 needed off last eight overs. 17.40 McGrath uses his feet well to lob Dutch over mid-wicket and then steer him away behind point as eight come from the over. 17.37 Yorkshire still have plenty to do with 70 needed from the final 11 overs, but they have wickets in hand. 17.33 Cox calls up Caddick with the hope that the England man can provide him with a wicket. Elliott contemptuously crashes his first ball through mid-wicket for his 10th four. 17.31 Elliott takes a leaf out of McGrath's book to steer Jones away behind point for another boundary. 17.28 McGrath takes his life in his hands by backing away to a ball from Blackwell but lofts impressively over the covers for four. 17.23 The required run rate continues to climb as Jones causes problems with consistent reverse swing. Yorkshire need 90 off 14 overs. 17.14 Jones tries his luck with umpire Sharp again but new batsman Anthony McGrath gets the benefit of the doubt. 17.10 Umpire Sharp finally raises the finger as Jones traps Vaughan in front to end a stand of 93. Vaughan's 31 did not include a single boundary. 17.08 Elliott's gorwing confidence is clear as he advances down the wicket to Blackwell and slices away over the off-side for another boundary. 17.04 Elliott effortlessly flicks Jones off his hip for four runs with Somerset now beginning to feel the pressure as they strive for a breakthrough. 17.02 Jones returns and strikes Vaughan on the front pad, but umpire Sharp is unmoved. 16.50 Dutch obtains sharp spin to beat the outside edge of Elliott's bat, but Yorkshire are content to pick up ones and twos where possible to keep the scoreboard ticking over. 16.45 Slow left-armer Ian Blackwell replaces Parsons and quickly finds some turn outside Vaughan's off stump. 16.36 Elliott takes a single off Dutch to bring up his half century off 61 balls, with six fours. 16.28 Spinner Keith Dutch comes into the attack in place of Jones and is right on target, conceding only a single from his first over. 16.27 Elliott takes Yorkshire's total past 100 with a cover driven boundary off Parsons, whose first four overs have cost 25. 16.24 Parsons finds the edge of Elliott's bat but the result is a single to third man. 16.23 Jones sends down a wide half volley and Elliott guides the ball superbly through backward point for his fifth boundary. 16.18 Parsons concedes four byes but Yorkshire are still struggling to get on top of the Somerset attack. 16.14 Jones appeals confidently after hitting Vaughan's pads but the ball is just missing leg stump. 16.12 Vaughan mis-times an on-drive and is fortunate to see the ball land a yard in front of Trescothick. 16.09 A drinks break is followed by a glorious straight drive for four by Elliott off the first ball of Parsons' second over. 16.03 Welshman Steffan Jones relieves Johnson, who retires to the outfield with figures of 3-20. 15.59 Caddick's spell comes to an end with figures of 7-0-39-0 as Parsons is brought into the attack. 15.53 Yorkshire suffer another major blow to their hopes as Wood drags a slower ball from Johnson into his stumps after labouring for almost an hour for 19. 15.52 Elliott mis-times a pull shot off Caddick but it creeps over the mid-wicket rope for another boundary. 15.44 Yorkshire step up their scoring rate as Elliott sees them past 50 with three through mid-wicket off Caddick, followed by a boundary from Wood. 15.34 Caddick over-pitches and Elliott takes a half pace forward before driving through the covers for four. 15.29 Johnson strays wide of the off stump and Elliott crashes the ball through the covers for a boundary. Johnson responds with two successive bouncers. 15.27 Elliott gets off the mark but Trescothick denies him more than a single with a sprawling stop at mid-off. 15.23 Johnson is convinced he has his third wicket as he raps Wood on the pads but umpire Sharp turns down the appeal. 15.12 Sending in Silverwood at number three backfires as Johnson flattens the off stump. 15.09 Johnson makes the first breakthrough for Somerset as an excellent delivery finds the edge of White's bat and wicket-keeper Turner takes the catch. 1505 Wood is off the mark with a boundary, hitting Johnson down to deep square leg for four. 1459 White drives Caddick off the back foot through the covers for four. 1455 White and Wood walk out to the wicket to begin Yorkshire's reply. The same tactic to the next ball sees the ball speeding through cover to the rope. 13.06 Keith Parsons, Man of the Match in last year's final, gets off the mark with a quick single to mid-on. 13.01 Burns tries to come down the wicket to Hoggard but turns the ball into a yorker and late inswing results in him being adjudged lbw. 12.55 Hoggard's slower ball is picked by Burns and deposited back over his head for a boundary. 12.53 Ian Blackwell walks out to play his first innings since being called into England one-day squad and is immediately under way with a single. 12.50 A double change pays off as Hoggard accounts for Bowler at the start of his second spell, caught behind by Blakey for 67. 12.48 Michael Vaughan replaces Dawson and almost claims a wicket with his first ball as a mis-timed stroke by bowler falls just short of mid-wicket. 12.44 Burns lashes the ball ferociously back at McGrath but he is unable to hang onto the chance and the it runs away for four. 12.36 Bowler takes a step down the wicket and strikes Dawson in fine style over mid-off for four. 12.32 Burns gets a leading edge as he tries to work the ball to leg but it falls short of bowler Dawson. 12.30 Bowler reaches his 50 off 67 balls, having been joined in the middle by Michael Burns. 12.23 Cox is beaten by McGrath's inswinger and falls lbw, a big wicket for Yorkshire. 12.19 Cox is lucky as a bottom edge to a ball from Dawson goes through wicket-keeper Blakey's legs and away for four. 12.15 Cox takes the aerial route by lofting McGrath over Hoggard's despairing fingers at mid-on for a boundary. 12.11 Yorkshire captain Richard Blakey introduces spin with Richard Dawson, an England tourist last winter, taking over at the Pavilion End. 12.09 Bowler adds two through wide mid-off to take the Somerset total to three figures. 12.04 Sidebottom is too full again and Bowler threads the ball between cover and mid-off for his fifth boundary. 12.01 Anthony McGrath relieves Silverwood after a spell of eight overs bowled at a cost of 30 runs. His first over yields only a single. 11.58 Sidebottom drops short and Cox square cuts for four. 11.50 The momentum of the innings slows with Yorkshire's bowlers finally gaining a measure of control. 11.37 Sidebottom errs in length and Bowler produces a text-book cover drive to pick up another four. 11.28 Yorkshire turn to left-armer Sidebottom in an attempt to stem the flow of runs, but Cox drives his first delivery for four. 11.24 Bowler puts Silverwood away through the leg side for another four to take Somerset past 50 in the ninth over. The last ball is a half volley and Bowlers crashes through point to the rope. 11.20 Jamie Cox makes the most of a free hit by pulling Hoggard powerfully for four. 11.16 Hoggard strikes as Trescothick fails to get over a cover drive and Michael Vaughan takes a magnificent one-handed catch. 11.13 Having been overshadowed by Trescothick, Peter Bowler puts away a poor ball from Silverwood for his first four. 11.09 Trescothick is 'caught' by Sidebottom off Hoggard, but it was a free hit following a no ball and he is not out. Trescothick follows that with a six over long off and two successive fours. 11.05 Silverwood over-pitches and Trescothick flays the ball through cover but is denied four by Ryan Sidebottom's superb stop. 10.56 Silverwood strays onto Trescothick's pads and is effortlessly put away for four through mid-wicket. 10.51 Hoggard drops short and Trescothick slashes through backward point for the game's first boundary. 10.49 Matthew Hoggard takes the new ball from the Pavilion End with the chance to test out England teammate Marcus Trescothick. 10.47 A wide from Chris Silverwood gets Somerset under way.
