Bracebridge Heath are through to the regional final of the ECB League Twenty20 Cup after victory in the area final at Skegness on Sunday. George Neal made 50 as they won their opening match against South Yorkshire League side Wath, who in turn beat Central Yorkshire's Northowram Fields. Bracebridge then beat Northowram with Paul Cook scoring 50 and Aaron Onyon taking 5-6 from his four overs. They now have home advantage for the regional final on Sunday 12 September. But their hopes of an eighth successive Lincolnshire Premier League title were dented after rain took its toll for a second successive weekend. Their match against Market Deeping was abandoned on Saturday with Bracebridge on 130-3 and Andrew Crook unbeaten on 65. Despite that, Bracebridge still climbed to second above Skegness who lost by 22 runs at Sleaford in the only match to be played to a result. Sleaford captain Ollie Burford made 68 in his side's 220-6 before the visitors were all out for 198, despite 96 from Paul Butler. Woodhall Spa's Fawad Alam made 61 not out as they reached 133-2 at home to the leaders Bourne before the weather intervened. Boston's Mick Troops took 5-43 as they dismissed Louth for 127 before rain ended the match and Grimsby were 80-3 at Hartsholme when the game was abandoned.
