Paul are back on top of the Cornwall Premier League after beating Newquay by 81 runs. Paul batted first, making 159-6 before bowling Newquay out for 78. The victory puts Paul nine points ahead of St Just, whose game with third-placed Truro had to be abandoned because of fog. Callington are now up to fourth in the standings after bowling Falmouth out for just 64, and then passing the target without loss. Werrington were also on winning form, as they secured a comprehensive eight-wicket home win over Penzance. Only one innings was possible in the weekend's final fixture between Grampound Road and St Austell. St Austell made 184-9, but rain stopped play after only seven balls of Grampound Road's reply.
