Defending champions St Just have moved top of the Cornwall Premier League for the first time this season, overtaking Paul, who lost at home to Werrington. Paul bowled out Werrington for 79 runs, but then crumbled to just 37 all out in response as Sam Hocking took an impressive 5-19. St Just took advantage of Paul's defeat, with a draw away at Callington to see them go top by one point. St Just made 228-7, while Callington reached 173-8 in reply. Third-placed Truro are still in with a chance of claiming the title, after beating Newquay by two wickets. Corey Harris made 93 in Newquay's 197 all out, before Truro replied with 200-8, moving them to within 11 points of the leaders. Grampound Road took closer order in fourth with a seven-wicket win at Penzance and there was a tight finish at St Austell where Falmouth lost by just nine runs.
