Crosby beat Cronkbourne by 27 runs in the Manx Premier League on Sunday to move a step closer to a place in the League Cup semi-finals. The Marown side opened with the bat and ran up a total of 201 with Gareth Rowlands making an unbeaten 38 and Harry Rothwell cracking 36. Ally Slack was in great form for Cronkbourne taking 6-32. Despite a fine 69 from skipper Max Stokoe the Tromode side were all out for 164 just 27 short of their target. Andy Brown took 3-29 and Jacob Hicklin and skipper Dave Picken both bagged a couple of wickets.
