Whiting is an Isle of Man Sport supported athlete

Andrew Whiting has been selected to play hockey for the Welsh under-21 side at the Junior European tournament in Vienna from 25-31 July.

Whiting impressed the selectors following a string of fine performances at the Celtic Cup earlier this month.

The 19-year-old was born in the Isle of Man but qualifies for Wales through his parents.

The former Bacchas player represented the island at senior level and now plays for Doncaster Hockey Club.

Wales will face Scotland, Italy and Azerbaijan in their group.
