Jersey have gone down to their second defeat of the ICC Division Five tournament in Nepal, losing to the USA by 66 runs on Tuesday. Batting first, the USA scored 253-6 in their 50 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 83 from Aditya Thyagarajan and 76 from Carl Wright. In reply Jersey reached 187-9 in their 50 overs, with both Dean Morrison and Samuel de la Haye scoring 36. The win put the USA top of the Division Five table, whilst Jersey stay fourth. Jersey lost their opening game of the tournament against Nepal on Saturday, before beating Fiji a day later. The island side are next in action against Bahrain on Wednesday.
