The Isle of Man cricket team narrowly lost to Marylebone Cricket Club in a thriller at Tromode on Friday. Despite several stoppages for bad weather the Manx team dismissed the visitors for 190 with Ollie Webster taking 3-41 and Nick Hawke 2-18. In reply the Island moved steadily towards their target but in the final over and, with just one wicket remaining, they required seven to win. In a tense climax there was a dramatic run out giving MCC the win.
