Waddington overcomes cramps for title Jock Waddington gave another fantastic performance to retain his Isle of Man Parish Walk title on Saturday night. Waddington completed the gruelling 85-mile course in 15 hours 45 minutes and 56 seconds. "I'm surprised but very happy. Not many people have retained the Parish Walk trophy and it's a fantastic feeling." Janice Quirk became the fastest women ever with a second-place finish in a time of 15:58:35, 18 minutes faster than Sandra Brown's 1998 record. Mark Hempsall was third in a time of 16:20:45 with Sue Biggart claiming an impressive fourth in 16:28:41. Eammon Harkin and Michael Readshaw completed the top six. A record 187 walkers completed the race within the 24-hour time limit.
