Guernsey's new indoor sporting arena opens on Saturday

Guernsey's latest sport facility opens on Saturday, giving cricket and other sports a new venue for indoor matches and practice.

The centre at the Hougue du Pommier will be the new home for the fast-growing sport of indoor cricket.

It will house two playing arenas in addition to three nets and has sprung floors at each bowler's end.

Other sports including five-a-side football, futsal and netball are also set to benefit from the new arena.
