Yousuf Youhana's tremendous form continues

Resuming the day with the score on 230 for five, Youhana and Latif continued their useful partnership and they had put on 204 for the sixth wicket by the time Youhana was out.

The talented right-hander was finally bowled by Cameron Cuffy for 146 just after lunch.

By then, Latif had completed his maiden Test century, passing the 1,000 run mark in Test cricket in the process.

Saqlain Mushtaq was the only other wicket to come the West Indies' way in the second session - he was caught and bowled by Mervyn Dillon for 17.

However, after tea the West Indies gradually chipped away at the Pakistan line-up with Latif finally perishing for 150.

Waqar Younis made an unbeaten 25 and Shoaib Akthar 20, before part-time offspinner removed Shoaib and Danish Kaneria in the same over to bring the innings to a close.

The only blight on the day for Pakistan was another poor attendance set to hit their cricket board's coffers despite Friday being a local day of rest in the Emirates..
